Post the Fourth: Exams and NEW Schedule

Wow I am bad with keeping on top of updates.

Well, in my defense, things have been hectic. School has officially ended as of 2 days ago -- I wrote my last exam, Japanese 12, in the morning, and went and picked up my report card. I walked out the doors of the commons and have thus officially graduated from high school.

How does it feel? ...It hasn't really sunk in.

To be honest, when the realization that high school was ending began, there was definite panic. The security blanket I was so used to for ALL MY LIFE was now gone. I particularly fretted about my friends. Even when we transitioned from elementary school to high school, pretty much everyone went to the same high school. There was always the promise of possibly sharing a class the next year, or, failing that, at least hanging out during breaks. However, that's gone. Half my friends are still in high school while the rest are being scattered about the province and even the COUNTRY to go to university. Although a good deal are going to SFU with me, I won't see the rest as regularly.

Yep, I panicked pretty hardcore. But, as school has been out for 2 weeks now and my social life hasn't imploded but FLOURISHED, I say things are mostly safe. I have a chronic fear that my friends don't really like me, which didn't help this post-graduation panic, but I'm somewhat more secure in that now.

My grades, as expected, pretty much tanked last term. I failed a class for the first time in my life! However due to getting As for the first 2 terms I scraped a B for the final mark in that class. So, my GPA is intact. :D After APs, things... just don't matter. If you're a high schooler reading this who hasn't taken APs, but is going to next year... believe me. You just won't give a shit anymore.

So, life goes on with a lot less stress, a lot more fun, and a lot more sleeping. For now, anyways.

I've revamped my schedule AGAIN. I decided that I really didn't give a shit about Canadian history and needed at least one fun class for the semester. So, I dropped HIST101 and instead am going to take HSCI120 - Introduction to Human Sexuality & Sexual Behaviour. That's right. A class on sex. I'm excited. A good couple of friends are taking it with me too, which will make it even better.

Course registration for me is on July 12 at 3:30 PM. Hopefully I get into all the classes I want. I'll post an update on that when the time comes.

As far as my personal life right now... Well, it's officially Canada Day! My plans for today are to go see The Last Airbender (which I heard was abso-freaking-lutely terrible but still feel compelled to see anyways) and then go to a barbeque at a friend's house. Pretty excited, it's gonna be a good day. :)

For now however I need to go to SLEEP, as I'm supposed to be up in 6 1/2 hours.

Ah, yeah, for the month of July I'm going to be doing a daily update. It'll probably be short.

SO -- today being Day 1...

My favourite song!

Currently my favourite song is What's This Feeling by Slakah the Beatchild. Extremely catchy and upbeat.

I don't know what it's done to me, yeah
I feel like I'm trapped up in a dream, yeah
And when I try to run
I just end up back where I begun

And this ain't fun, no, this ain't fun, no
This ain't, this ain't, this ain't fun, no

What's this feeling called love?
Is this what they call love?
I'd really really like to know
(x4)

Boom boom boom
That's the sound of my heart when I'm thinking of you
And bang bang
That's the sound of my head banging on the wall 'cause of you

All day long I just wanna sleep, yeah
This love thing has drained my energies, yeah
And when I think it's done
Every girl reminds me of that one

And this ain't fun, no, this ain't fun, no
This ain't, this ain't, this ain't fun, no

What's this feeling called love?
Is this what they call love?
I'd really really like to know
(x4)

Help me, help me, help me
Can anybody hear me?
(x4)

What's this feeling called love?
Is this what they call love?
I'd really really like to know
(x10)
